SILAKKAMARKKINAT

Munchen  has it's October Fest but we here in Rauma have Silakkamarkkinat - Herring Festival
Silakka - Baltic herring, Clupea harengus membras.
I did not get any photos of the silakka, since most of them were in jars pickeled or salted.
BUT this was more interesting: nailing the salmon onto the boards and roasting it next to the wood fire!  

and of cause all the other stuff:

gloves, hats, socks

shoe laces

baskets

and too many people
