Courtyard where old ladies sit every afternoon for hours when the weather is nice. No, I am not old enough for their company, I'm just a kid.

Aija's balcony herbgarden
this rock looks familiar
Name day raspberry pie
Blueberry - mustikka
Raspberry - vadelma
Strawberry - mansikka
Gooseberry - karvianen
they are all marja even though the name does not include it.
I also bought some real blueberries picked in the woods, much better tasting than the cultivated bush blueberries. Right now the strawberry season is just about over, rasberries (they also grow wild) are in the season and blueberries are just about ripe and then later lingonberries (puolukka)

  1. It is sooo good to see your pictures!! WOW the pie looks delicious. Is Tommi visiting now or did you both jump of the high platform some other year? I'm sure the old ladies would love to have a kid like you visit with them... but as I remember, as a kid, I didn't always want to hang out with the old ladies - still, it could be interesting.
I house sat for Sam and Julie last week and weekend - made a wonderful peach and mustikka galette! So delicious it hardly lasted at all. Say is there some symbolic meaning to the lattice of your name day pie? the diagonal pieces.... - Just 2, Hmm, why? Fun? or ?
